To be honest, birthdays don't mean much any more. Just another day. The only difference is I have spent half the day on the phone with relatives who only call because they feel obligated. I hate being on the phone anyway. It's like having to go to dentist for me.
Also, my wife has been ill for a little over a year now. We don't think it is life threatening, but it sure has been life altering for us. So today, like all other days, I spent taking care of her as best I know how. She is a good wife and keeps her chin up and tries to put on a happy face when I know she is feeling awful.
Sorry for bringing everyone down. I just felt like I wanted to say something. Maybe it is more I needed to put down some words.
Changing to a much happier theme, I wish I could spend some of that money on the coins I've been attributing for the metal detecting club, but they haven't come up with any prices yet. As you know, I've made the offer.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JW! May you have many many more to come. Let's all jam out with some birthday tunes. The first coin is "Augustus". Not Augusta. Augusta is the female form of Augustus. I can't post any new coins right now. I haven't purchased any since the beginning of last month. Not sure if I can get any this coming month either.

Oh yeah. Very nice coins! I wouldn't mind owning a Augustus that is similar to yours.

I'm pretty sure that Argos was Ulysses' dog's name ... Argos was Ulysses' hunting dog and the only creature to recognise the greek hero when he returned home disguised as a beggar after 10+ years of adventuring ...
