I hate how I always see the ATB Quarters @ restaurants as change and never in my bank.

Quote:I hate how I always see the ATB Quarters @ restaurants as change and never in my bank. I get rolls of Quarters at the bank for spending purposes, always hoping to get BU ATB rolls, but no luck. Quote: You need to come east and spend some. I should. Putting Denver Mint Quarters into eastern U.S. circulation would be way cool! Quote: It must be nice living in a mint city. The tradeoff: my odds of getting a "P" ATB Quarter in circulation are somewhere around the odds of winning a lottery jackpot...

Philadelphia is a long, long way from here.

A bank near my house gets in the D mint ATB Quarters about 3-4 weeks after they're released. They set the box aside and sell rolls one by one at face for customers who ask for a roll. I've been lucky to get a roll every time I've asked for one which has been for every release. The P mint ATB's I buy off ebay or trade. The S mint business strikes released in 2012 I've been getting off ebay at a premium. They appear in circulation around here. I've gotten them at grocery stores often.

How about replying to one of the latest Littleton Coin offers. For face value you can get a complete P&D set of 2010 to 2011 ATB Quarters. All 20 for $5 in uncirculated condition. https://www.littletoncoin.com/webap...splayDetailsEnter 2RN112 Want all 8 Native American dollars 2009 to 2012 P&D uncirculated for face value? Use the same link above and enter code 2RU203. Plus 4 free 2009 cents. If you have not already opted out of their Coins on Approval service you will be sent coins which you will need to send back. If this is your first order with them the return shipping will be free. Just tell them you want to opt out and you can respond to these face value ads without having coins to return.

Guess what? Today, I got a Gettysburg- P in my change. This one has more circulation wear and little scratches than the D's I get, of course, but it's presentable (problem-free AU, with nice luster and cartwheel). Littleton has these nice date/design spaces only folders, which negate the mint mark issue. I have two of these folders: one for BU Quarters, one for actual circulation finds. My Gettysburg-P is now in its own 2x2, because both of my ATB folders are all D Quarters, and the only other ATB P Quarters I have are all in their Mint Set OGP.

I usually find 3 or 4 everyday being a cashier. One of my favorite modern coins so no complaints here

I dont roll hunt the quarters as much as I should, but I do find a lot of the ATBs in circulation. I dont keep them as we get the rolls from the mint, but I am pretty sure I could knock out about half a set in one box.

But you have to cough up $500 for a box. :) I realize you get most of it back but that's a pretty big outlay of cash right there.

yeah I just dont have that kind of money to dish out. I use around 200 dollars on quarter rolls per visit and just keep recycling it..

jbuck (and everyone else hunting ATBs and feeling the frustration), hit up my trade post. I don't have ATBs listed publicly right now, but I pull nice ones from my drawer every single day at work and I'm happy to trade at face value (including for plain old spendable coin of the realm) or for world coins. They're still "found in circulation," just not in a cash drawer you were at!

I feel kind of lucky now, I've found over 100 in circulation. Had I known how in demand they were, I would save some for people here. I always buy a new one when they come out from a coin shop for 65 cents, so I usually throw the "finds" back into circulation
