Sorry about the delayed response I had to pick up some supplies from home depot The sad part is some of those do sound like fun sets to do as a one coin from each but Id be scared itd turn into something more. I have always wanted a 1776 colonial coin though so at least that one will hopefully happen

A quick update re: available D-Day coins...
I went to a coin show this past weekend and came across three D-Day coins from the British Virgin Islands. They were from 2004, one featured a soldier, another an airman and the third a sailor.
Happy hunting!

Thank you for the heads up commems. That sounds like a fantastic set that will definitely have to go on the list.

@basebal21: I meant to post this one back in October, but it slipped my mind until this evening when I was going through some of my collection. Hopefully it is still of some interest! Here is the UK Philatelic-Numismatic Cover (PNC) that I mentioned earlier in this thread. I find it to be an attractive piece - I like the D-Day operation photographs on the stamps. This PNC and the previous two coin folders are all I'm familiar with regarding official Royal Mint "extras" for the UK 50 pence D-Day 50th anniversary coin - but who knows what else is lurking out there! (Especially in terms of private issues.) 1994 UK 50 Pence PNC - Envelope 1994 UK 50 Pence PNC - Insert Card

Thank you commems. I've actually been meaning to make an update thread for this. The collection isn't much but I've made some progress for it and just a WWII set in general. I'm out of town at the moment but will do so when I get back

Devil thank you for the links they will be going on my want list for the set. I really do love that tank set. The Perth Mint makes some FANTASTIC coins, I will be buying more of their products in the future.

I was actually just taking a look at my Turks & Caicos 5 Crown and almost complete 7 of the 8 Isle of Man coins. The set that you'll need from Isle of Man is the Normandy invasions set. I picked mine up in the UK for £1 per coin ($1.63). They are all the first day issues, never opened, and put in a bag upon receipt. They are in excellent condition. I'll post up a couple of pics in the next few days.

I meant to bump this thread yesterday in memory of the day - good discussion and worth reading from the top. Here's a recent coin from Canada that would be added to the set of anyone collecting D-Day related coins:
