A small group of us from Ottawa will be going this weekend to the coin show in Boucherville... not quite the bourse that the FUN show is, but hey, it is only a couple hours of driving from Ottawa...

Thanks for the info, I'll try to stop by saturday,
@SPP. if you are coming from ottawa, I suggest you try the new highway 30, there's a paying toll of 1.50$ for a car but you save a lot of time in the montreal traffic. plus the jonction of the H30 and H20 is right there in boucherville.

It is a decent sized show, at least 20 dealers and a small auction, run by Lower Canada Auctions (Louis). Leave the nickel dollars alone though!!

Great show today. Picked up some fantastic exonumia on the bourse, and in the auction I won the lot of 1992 25-cent original mint rolls (12 rolls, one for each province/territory) for $140, less than $12 per roll. I hunted and bought stuff for my collection today, instead of acquiring inventory, and it was fun.

Just checked their web site and noticed that 2014-1015 show schedule is now posted. Next show will take place September 28-29. I have attended this show a couple of times. I like it.

Curious I am. why is this show so successful comparing it to Vancouver. what is their secret? I the Vancouver show , since it is only one day now, most Out of province dealers do not bother to come. and local dealers usually are unreasonably priced, including those who venture over from Victoria. Perhaps back east it is the accessibility to the show... short drives?

I live on island so its not such a long drive! A friend of mine has gone to 3 or 4 shows in last year or so and had good success. What else is there to do in minus 20 weather? lol
