Yeah it does seem to be the same coin... The test cuts and deposits dont really bother me, I like the turtle side (the legs seem a little different to your coin, I prefer the turtle on the ebay coin) though I like that on your coin the incuse side is better centered and the flan on yours is perfect. At $300-350 I would agree its a decent deal but I dont want to spend that much before christmas since next month I am away and will require spending money and also I wont be working (I dont get holiday pay) so any major coin purchases will have to be after Christmas... I still want you guys to show off your coins :P I cant believe that there is such a limited variety of incuse coins; surely aside from the 4 types of coin mentioned so far there must be others I should be looking at?

The Byzantion I have almost been tempted by a couple (maybe they werent tetra's maybe they were drachms) around the £100 mark there are a few reasonably appealing coins...its a possible to keep my eyes open if I find the right one I will want it. I have noticed that many of them the punch in the back is worn till it looks like a windmill (or it was just not struck deeply) the particular one posted looks like it is much chunkier and thicker than those I have looked at...it has a more archaic style about it which I like.
The Acanthus tetrobol is a new one to me (similar obverse to some Parion Mysia coins if I spelt that right) I am not sure I like it particularly though.

Those you're referring to, from Byzantion, are the smaller modules (drachm (4-5 g) or fractions). The one I've posted is indeed a fat one at about 15 g

Thank you Anoob and Windchild. I have to be honest. I have been having heartburn ever since I spent that much money. I just laid down to rest a bit ago and was unable to cause I was thinking about the cost of this one purchase. It is no where near my most expensive coin, but it's still expensive for me. I also have to admit that I have been wanting one ever since Jerry showed off his Yertle a couple of months ago. Darn that Jerry. He gets me in so much trouble. Honest Honey, Jerry made me do it!

Bing for 232 euro I would have snapped it up myself had I not just spent £165 on that pegasus coin. With one in the post to me it was easier to pass up the turtle and I honestly believed it would finish up at much more than you paid...
Therefore a big congrats to you...and I will hope to find another similar deal at a later more appropriate time. The reason I posted the coin was because it looked like a good one and I was only too pleased to give you the green light :) and nice to see that you got it for a very fair price in my opinion.
