Hundred thousand star notes seem to be even rarer. Not sure how many were ever made but not a lot at all I think.

Here is a note I was given in change about a week ago and as far as I am concerned it is a definite keeper.

Low/High-Serial-Numbers

What I love about it is not only is it close to being an Extremely high serial (on Goatieman's scale) but it has four 9s in the serial number and as an added bonus is a 2009 note.

Before you ask, Goatieman, this note isn't for sale.

Very nice. That's a note I can appreciate.

I'm looking at buying a note that's got an awesome serial number, the condition's not amazing, but it's a last prefix.

Then again you didn't pay for that note & I'm looking at paying a premium...

darn I'm a sucker for $50's.

If (&/or when) I get it, I'll be posting it here!

The note I mentioned that I was buying, is now owned by me...yeah! Woohoo. Not cheap, not in great condition but I needed it.
JC98 999990
Smallest polymer $50 last prefix run & the ninth highest note! Was it worth it...hell yeah. I paid a decent premium, but for obvious reasons in my case.
It's probably in about Fine to Fine condition.
Low/High-Serial-Numbers
It's now my highest serial...$50 JC98 999990 (Last prefix)
My lowest serial (which I found in circulation, amazingly) is...$10 AA06 000004

Almost embarrassed as I don't actively collect notes

Well, in that case you might as well send it to me in exchange for some metallic currency.

Mendo. It is an unusual thing with the NPA folders, I have collected some, because they are strict UNC notes, but some of those years do command a lower UNC value because the NPA folders are lower serials & also because there are more "known & kept" UNC notes.
On the other side of things, there are years where the NPA released folders which had black serial notes which weren't actually circulation note (i.e; 1999 only $50's & $100's were released in circulation yet the NPA folders had $5,$10,$20,$50 & $100 with red or black serials...ideally it does mean that there are extremely low numbers of 1999 $5,$10 & $20 notes, but they're all in UNC condition & not part of normal circulation.)
Some people only collect circulation notes. I think it's these people that truely pride themselves on a low serial, becuase it hasn't come from a folder & that it's occured simply by the luck of the draw.
I don't have time right now to list the years & denominations of the NPA folders, but if I get a chance sometime soon, I'll list them. I pride myself on the knowledge of notes.

I have noticed that too. I think it is because they are considered to be NCLT.

Some of them are easy to pick because they have date overprints or red serial numbers. But I think NPA realised this was making the notes less desirable so with the later ones the only way you can tell they are folder notes is the low serial number.

I consider folder notes to be the bane of collecting 90s polymer.
