XF40-45, I would grade the coin as gVF, obverse if EF but reverse is VF at best.

Oh dear me! I've now read the title of this thread as 'Irish Penny' at least twice. I must be dog tired.

Hi!

I got one from Bulgaria that is almost as good, cost a lot more though.

Was a long wait too.

looks pretty good

Geez that is a nice coin darge!

The rims are great, hardly a dent.

Not a pro grader , but EF if my mind.

Thanks guys that's what I was hoping to hear.

It was a bit of a gamble buying it from someone I had never dealt with in Bulgaria but I felt I had to take the risk.
I paid $200 for this and a VF+ (perhaps even) aEF 1917 penny which I was happy with, but not exactly a steal like steve's. LOL. Probably close to the right price I think.

That seller has a lot of good coins if anyone is interested in learning who he is.

Didn't Skyhooks sing a song about that?

Pennies from Bulgaria, CCF hysteria
Get down, get down, rotated coin stock,
get enough to make a coin clock
