to jakedacc: Can recommend to take a look on these editions. Both Canadians and both are beautiful "animals coins". Actually, this design was initially used for Platinum (!) coins, but they also were struck in pure silver: 1. $5 2005 Silver Coin - Atlantic Walrus and Calf Beautiful coin with Proof finish(almost 1oz .999 Silver) with nice presentation case. I can't believe - it under CAD 50.00: http://www.cdncoin.com/product-p/623932232952.htm2. 2004 Canada Arctic Fox Fractional .9999 Fine Silver 4 coin Proof Set And this one amazing, believe me. As I know, it sold out at the dealers, but seen one in Mississauga. Well, it isn't really cheap, but gorgeous present. Here the URL to the ebay, the seller is trust-full, but check with him the coins condition: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2004-Canada...em257634ee61There is also "Lynx" set, but it more expensive... In bottom line: I have them in personal - really great Canadian coins. Something else? Check the 1oz Kangaroo at Sunset Proof version.

BTW:
I have additional Atlantic Walrus coin - no case, no certificate. Only capsuled coin in great condition (was in rush to buy it, before found the set).
Didn't plan, but can sell it for reasonable price. I am in Toronto.

Avoid mixing your hobby, with matters of the heart... if you can... even if she likes coins a little bit.
A better move would be to buy her bullion, in the form of a silver Pandora bracelet and charm... it shows you think of her more than your hobby...

swrbxxx I'd love to see your wife's collection. Lol. Especially if her jewelry amounts equal your coin amounts..

i was waiting for your opinion coin chick, yes she will like it, she's not a jewelry girl so what she has is great, I bought her a ring for her birthday (which is today) so she said she doesn't want super sentimental (coins will be perfect) her dad works for Canada post so her NCLT collection is quite large :)

Lol her jewelry collection is excessive, as well as her handbag collection. I'd like to think Tiffany's, gucci abd louis vuitton considers me a VIP customer with the amount of money spent at those three stores.. This year I went more of an investing route for her gift. Two 50ct. Diamonds, ideal cut, IF clarity and colourless in a nice 4 prong platinum setting screw back. Excited to pick them up next week.

swrbxxx I'm so jealous.. My best piece is valued at $30,000. Those earrings sound dreamy. Not many IF out there. I've got lots of expensive habits as well.. Spreading the wealth evenly is hard....
Jakedacc I will think of a gooder today and post it. You seem sure she will like a coin so I will rack my brain.
