I hope you instructed Bobby to destroy it after he's finished.

BadThad,

I would rather he send it back to me. I want to have all the fun and then it will give me another excuse to start a new thread. I may just have to put a .45 round through it with a vintage WWI Colt Army .45 M1911. That would be so cool.

A shot through the eyes? NICE!
Look, if your example prevents a single new member on the CCF from making a mistake, you will
have done a tremendous service to us all.
Just keep a steady aim ... and SHOOT!
All that I can do is to throw a few coins on the floor and say, "These are not good."
THEN, I present a single coin, held over a towel for protection, and say,

"This is a special coin. You may hold it, carefully, over
a towel. If it hits the table, you have just wiped out
20 percent of its value.

That gets my sister's attention quickly!
[She is SO good to allow me to manage the family's coins.]

If you manage to actually hit it with the .45, I hope you can recover it, because I would love to see the result. You need to at least video it when you do it.

smokeriderdon,

What do you mean by 'if I hit it?'
If I miss, I'll just shoot it one more time....or one more time.....or one more time. The magazine holds 7 rounds and the coin won't be shooting back.

I will see if I can record the event. I should have little to no problem doing this project. It's editing and posting that will stump me. Have tripod will travel.

I wonder if that is one of the many we made when we were kids. We used to remove the D on 1922 Cents. Part of the 4 on 1944 Cents. Erased all osrts of numbers and letters on coins then put back into circulation. Way back things like that were as much fun as putting coins on RR tracks.

The coin is back in my hands. Thanks Bobby, I was happy to help. The coin will face judgement day in the near future. Stay tuned for the results.
