I am thinking AU-50 also. I think I see some light luster remaining around the letters to the rim.
very nice upgrade.

OH MY!
And I just throw peanuts when the squirrels come up to me an ask!
They are SO tame, and demanding! "Daddy, give us peanuts, NOW!" I throw peanuts.
A very decent "with cents" example.
Die crack aside, a nice addition to your set.
WITH the die crack, a bit of history to boot.

I wish you could resist the temptation to share the answer so quickly ... some of have to work for a living and can't reply during the day.

Truly ... my guess reading from top to bottom was PCGS AU53.

Nice coin indeed ... enjoy the die cracks.

Sorry I'm late to the Thread. Liberty Head Nickels are
another favorite of mine. I agree with PCGS on the grade,
I felt it was a 53 as soon as I saw it. Way too much detail
for an XF grade, not enough pop for a higher grade.

Very interesting die crack... Even after 17 years of striking
5 Cent Nickels, they were still encountering problems.
Maybe we still encounter the same problems today, but
just change the dies more often !?

Wouldn't be surprised - rim Cuds are pretty common with Jeffersons.
