The GP rattle and ABC blocks moved up to $180. Which dealers will sell those for that?
If the answer is none, then where did the prices come from?

Quote: Incredible. Who would have thought NCLT's would command this kind of premium.

Quote:One sold last week on ebay for $849 I hate holes in my collection. It's a very low mintage coin. In 2008 they used the same silver loonie in the wedding set and some of the baby sets but 2007 this is the only way to get one.

But it's true the mintage is only 819, right ?! Where the GP Rattle is 1911 ... So it should cost more when the GP Rattle is from 400-600$ :P

I have one, for my loon collection... bought the set at issue price last year.

Falcon & SPP, since you both are holding on to two of these 2007 silver loons, that means your willing to let one go at issue price?

Just need to wait until 2014 when the seven years itch kicks in. A few hundred divorced couples who got them as gifts in 2007 will be giving them away just to get rid of memories.

Trends should represent a price something can be readily obtained at (except, for exceptionally scarce items, of course). We all know that for more common grades and dates, it actually is about 1.5x - 2x the price you can obtain the coin. But, for NCLT, Trends seems to low-ball a lot. They raised the Ladybug to $450. Show me a dealer offering that. Recent ebay sales have been $600-$700. I have my suspicions when NCLT that is out of stock at major dealers, is low-balled in Trends. It seems to me Trends is an agent for the dealer to whip out and "prove" to a seller why they can only offer $225-$275 for a Ladybug. So, is $800 for a 2007 silver loon another low-ball or a fair price? The new price for the gold-plated rattle sets (raised to $180, which granted is triple the July price) seems to be, since these have sold in the last six months on ebay for $450-$600. You'll note that Trends put the $5/$10 golds on price watch. Doesn't seem to be the back-room dealing to prop those up like the 5c hoard items.
