The 1901-O is the fake.

What I've been struggling with is why someone would fake that one? It's a very common coin nothing valuable about the date or mint mark.

My wife said the Coin Shop Owner said a guy come in several years ago and sold his dad's old coins and this was the only fake in the lot and the guy told him to just keep it so it sounds like it's been around for awhile, maybe decades depending on how long the old man held it before he died. It weighs 20.4oz so what type of metal would that likely be?

I'll have to guess #1 also...?
Wow... I guess not... Lol... Which is why I weigh them too...
I don't know why someone would fake that one either.. I wonder how old it is?

I'm thinking it's a contemporary counterfeit, back when a dollar was a fair piece of money.

The head on 1901o is bigger than the other coins' heads. It is too close to the edge if you look by her nose. I measured with my pinkie and compared to the other three. If you had not said one was a fake, I would never had known.

Nice presents by the way! Merry Christmas!

The 1901-O is fake. The date looks completely different, and the fields have a "grainy" look to them.

My guess is coin #3.

I say the 1901, coin #3. Something about Liberty's nose looks wrong to me. I wish I could pin it down better than that, all I can say is the curve isn't right.

Now Imma go see what everybody else said.

From the photos, none of them look fake. But if one is, it would be the 1901-O as I don't like the looks of the rim.
