I got the 2012 with dragon privy for $41 no shipping. I really wanted my first silver maple and absolutely loved the reverse proof bolstered by a dragon! Not sure if I will be getting the snake, but I do enjoy the privy strikes. Mintage for the 2012 dragon I believe was 25,000... not sure if the snake will be the same.

Nice price and reputable dealer.
What I liked in the coin - it doesn't really connected to the "Lunar" theme (except the highlighted "2013"), more like to just "animal" coin.

I just learned no ebay bucks with buillon, but if the seller would list them under coins, we would get ebay bucks. I was going to grab 10 snake privy maples, but I just found out no ebay bucks. 😢

Lostwords: Yes you have to register first (it's free). After that, you will get ebay bucks for each purchases (except the bullion category and some others). You gain 2% of each purchase and there are double reward promotions sometimes....

You accumulate your ebay bucks for 3 months and you can use them on the fourth.

I don't think you have to sign up, but I'm not sure. I just can't beleive if you buy silver listed under coins, you get ebay bucks, if its listed under buillon no ebay bucks. ðŸ'¿

Yes you have to sign up and correct - bullion doesn't qualify if listed as bullion. Never understood that either and wondered if a bullion listing cost less than a regular coin listing.

ebay bucks are awesome, I just can't beleive you don't get them on buillon. When I list buillon for sale I don't think it's cheaper, so I don't understand why my customers wouldn't get ebay bucks.

Wow, thanks alot for mentioning the ebay bucks.. I never signed up and have spent a dumb amount in the last 2 weeks alone.. So needless to say I just signed up!
Thanks again for the heads up!!

As for the snake privy, I like it. I bought a couple of the '12 reverse proof dragon privies, the snake might be next! Some privies I love, others I just don't like (thats just me though), take for instance the titanic privy.. I'm not really a fan. (But then again I'm partial to dragons and snakes.. Dragons on anything.. Snakes I like live ones, lol (I have 4 right now), but I definitely wouldn't mind the coin with one!!

@vinnycoin: The "buy 5 save 5$" works for mixing-and-matching coins. BUT shipping cannot be combined, so if you buy 2xSML Snake Pivy + 3x Somalia Elephant, they will charge 10$ for shipping (5$ for SML and 5$ for elephant), and then there will be 5$ saving. They have a "shopping cart" system now so you can try playing with different combinations to see the price.

If you purchase them on the same day, you can ask them to refund you the excess shipping. Just add everything into your cart and pay at once :)

Has anyone found out what the mintage of the SML Snake Privy coin is? Last year's was 25k and I can't imagine it'll be higher. APMEX currently sells it at $6 over spot - if it wasn't for their high shipping charges...

I just chatted with someone from APMEX and here is his reply:

"There is not a set mintage, the Canadian Mint will make as many as they can sell in 2013 and then get rid of the dies in 2014."

Last year's dragon had a 25k mintage and is still available from APMEX for a decent price. The "unlimited" could of course mean less than 25k given that the design is not that great and the fact that the dragon itself is a more popular lunar symbol than the snake. Time will tell...

But I'll pick up a few anyway as I like the reverse proof finish on these.
