If your considering selling coins on ebay, you should always note there are several approved methods.
1. All my coins are UNSEARCHED
2. I know nothing about coins. These were given to me by a freind
3. I inherited these coins and know nothing about them.
4. These coins were given to me by my (Aunt, Uncle, Dad, Mom, other-speicfy) Cross out the ones that don't apply
5. These coins were found in my (basement, garage, attic, forgotten suitcase, etc.) Again, cross out those that don't apply.
There are several other ebay statements that are sure to work also.

So, mine would be unsearched since all I do is pull them from circulation. I don't have an album to keep them in.

Don't forget to show a picture of these 'unsearched' coins showing a Flying Eagle penny and maybe a Barber dime or two mixed in the lot. And just for added effect, if you can, make sure you show the pennies dumped out on an old civil war uniform. Preferably Confederate.

If you look at the date, they are definitely searched. If you only look at the reverse, they could technically be called unsearched. But who is not going to look at the date?

You forgot cutting one in half or marking it up real bad and calling it a mint error

@mds308---About the photo......maybe next to a Roman centurion's helmet? And on what to seed the batch with...maybe one of the
pieces of silver the Romans gave to Judas Iscariot for ratting out Jesus of Nazareth? Naah---NG. That'd be getting too over-baked.
Although---maybe not. It is ebay, after all!

Actually it looks like right now listings that show sealed bags or bags tied shut are actually selling for more than unsearched lots that are spilled out of the bag or opened

msteele, I work at a gas station and routinely yank Canadian pennies from circulation. When I leave my job (or possibly later--I'm thinking of going back to roll-hunting, so . . . ), I plan to put these on ebay as "unsorted" Canadian pennies, with this explanation:

"When I pull a Canadian penny from change, I check to see if it's George or Elizabeth. If it's George, I keep it; if it's Liz, it goes in a bag. This lot contains [amount] of Canadian pennies featuring Queen Elizabeth II, pulled from circulation, thrown in a bag, and otherwise ignored. As a result there are many different years, states of wear, and copper/steel ratios. I will not guarantee, nor even suggest, that anything rare is in here, because odds are my friends north of the border found those long before the coins made their way down here. But if you're just looking to fill some holes, this is a great lot for you."

You may consider something like this.

I like that ninamason. That is the gist of what I wanted to say. I only look at the backs when sorting. There is a consignment shop by us that I could put those out on ebay. May take a crack at it with some copper bullion

Excepting the fact that they've been searched, those rolls are unsearched.

They are all searched. They will say that to make 20% more off you.
