I'll say EF40. Did ANACS give it a problem free grade?

A bit of information. Is is indeed graded problem free. Good question, it looked a bit fishy to me. It does still retain full luster or maybe 98% and will cartwheel nicely. It is in an old small ANACS holder. 32XXXXX As I read up on these, I better understand what to look for. The hair above the ear, the cotton flowers (?) etc. I have cropped the photo and kept it as big as possible, see below.  |

It looked to me like it may have been an old cleaning. Good to hear it's not...
If ANACS decided it was a soft strike it could be AU50.

Dave wins!! In hand, I feel that ANACS got it right. But those are OK photos, and the consensus is overwhelmingly EF45!! With a 40 or two thrown in. I suppose that is why it is still in the small holder, would be suicide to crack it out!  |

Yep, at a slabbed 50 grade you do not want to remove that one from the slab.

Before I saw the grade, I was thinking XF40. Leave that baby right where she sits.
