I'll say EF40. Did ANACS give it a problem free grade?

A bit of information.
Is is indeed graded problem free. Good question, it looked a bit fishy to me.
It does still retain full luster or maybe 98% and will cartwheel nicely.
It is in an old small ANACS holder. 32XXXXX
As I read up on these, I better understand what to look for.
The hair above the ear, the cotton flowers (?) etc.
I have cropped the photo and kept it as big as possible, see below.

It looked to me like it may have been an old cleaning. Good to hear it's not...

If ANACS decided it was a soft strike it could be AU50.

Dave wins!!
In hand, I feel that ANACS got it right. But those are OK photos, and the consensus is overwhelmingly EF45!! With a 40 or two thrown in.
I suppose that is why it is still in the small holder, would be suicide to crack it out!

Definitely not a candidate for a crack out.

Yep, at a slabbed 50 grade you do not want to remove that one from the slab.

Especially in the older, small holder.

dave700x,

Understatement.

Before I saw the grade, I was thinking XF40. Leave that baby right where she sits.
