I like topical subjects and Friday brings February,

Quote:
February was named after the Latin term februum, which means purification, via the purification ritual Februa held on February 15 (full moon) in the old lunar Roman calendar.

Quote:
The Februa festival, which occurred in February was basically one of Spring washing or cleaning relating to purging 'bad things' or 'sins'. Its possible todays 'Spring cleaning' is related.

How about coins showing water or symbolising cleaning or purification?

Too tough? Thoughts?

I little late but if started tomorrow could just count.

Quote:
January (in Latin, Ianuarius) is named after Janus, the god of the doorway; the name has its beginnings in Roman mythology, coming from the Latin word for door (ianua) since January is the door to the year.

How about doorways? Might see a lot of campgates but thats fine by me, again, thoughts?

Any coin showing a god/goddess we haven't done yet?
Christian symbols?
Monograms?
Anything showing soldiers?
Foward-facing (and 3/4 facing) busts?

IDK just some thoughts.

I'm happy to start one up tomorrow (would prob go for the doorway theme) and could maybe try to re-invigorate the setup with a nice starting write-up.

I'm also very happy to step aside for anyone else who might want to have a go, please give us your thoughts guys, both those who are still interested and those who might be.

If you all want to continue the Smackdowns.

I have an idea for coins from the places called Antioch, which could yield a wide variety of coins, since ancients were made there for about 900 years or more.

I'm cool with whatever, its late here now so whatever people do decide tonight (who, when, what and how etc) leave the outcome here so I can see it tomorrow morning and know if I need to do anything

Hope that makes sense, suddenly super tired and brain not working, laters.
