It looks very official, but one part says "We sell 30% below retail" or something like that. I doubt Dansco would give that kind of discount just for buying online. Nice site anyways.

Quote: This isn't them? No, they are a dealer. Look at the first paragraph, " We are not The Dansco Corporation."

I've heard and been waiting for years for Dansco to come out with a new or at least some of the same "7070" albums. They have said "soon, this year, updating, etc." They seem to work at their own pace. I'll believe it when I see it!!

Dansco seems like one of those companies that survive in spite of their best efforts to not survive. Why would they pull their old product (which seems perfectly fine and is obviously in demand) off the shelf over a year or more before the new one is ready? Who knows when this thing comes out? I will believe 2013 when I see it...

Only speculation, but they may have thought it would be ready sooner. They would want to minimize inventory of an obsolete product since it would not sell well after the new version came out. Regardless, they should have made a limited run of the current version once they realized the new design was delayed.

Maybe we should do a poll.. What gets updated first, the 7070 or their website http://www.danscousa.com/? I would bet the 7070, but that isn't saying much... Quote: However, it lacks a bit on the 411. Agreed jbuck.. Quote: Dansco seems like one of those companies that survive in spite of their best efforts to not survive. Well said KenKat With that said, I do own a number of their albums and like them!

I'm hijacking my own thread...I've heard of coins rotating in certain albums. Is this a problem with the Dansco 7070's? I found a LCS that has a few stashed away and was just curious. I would think that would be a nuisance.

It is a problem with the 7070, but it is not so much the fault of the album is that some of the early coins such as Large Cents vary quite a bit in size due to the relatively manual minting techniques used back then.
