Next time, going straight for the Secret Service jugular might get a faster response?

Based on the pics, do you think his line of work was obtaining fresh fakes from China and applying the fake toning himself?
Good job, but do these folks ever get the convictions they deserve? Not much justice here if he just sets up shop at another site, or under a different name.

Steve,

Amen to all of the praise you so richly deserve.

I tried out numismetrica.com and I believe it will serve my need to organize the important coins which I have.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Well done.

You definitely need to follow up, because you know they will be back.

When they do come back, I hope there is a much swifter response to your report.

Great work, Steve! More importantly, I think this case unveiled the magic technique to cut down on the amount of work you need to do to bring cases like this to closure.
Give the organization you're attempting to deal with one shot (and ONE shot only) at fixing their problem situation and then go straight to the Secret Service. No sense
wasting your time and energy with organizations who'll play deaf/dumb/blind as long as they possibly can.

My "procedure" is to first contact the seller and ask questions, as sometimes sellers honestly don't know that the coins they sell are fake. If at this point the seller properly lists them, marks them, etc. and the price is right, I might nab a few copies for my own collection to keep a documented reference. Everyone's happy.

If I can't contact the seller, or the seller behaves suspiciously ("Oh! They're fake? Sorry. I'll delist them." -- and then they pop back up later; or "Ah, well, will you buy them for half price? You know, you could flip'em for a mint, yourself..."; etc.) then I go directly to the company.

If the company won't help after unambiguously getting the message across (hence my patience with Caroline, above), then it's to the local SS Field Office. :-)

Nope. No Canadian coins. Mostly Chinese, American, and a few UK coins.

Given the guy's name (which I won't post here) I'm convinced that he *is* in mainland China and that this account was merely a storefront for him.

When it's offshore, they're hardly ever charged.

I'll be watching. :-) I have their account on my feeds and hopefully "Caroline" will remember me.
Rest in Peace
