hmm... A bottle top maybe.

I'm thinking the bottle opener kind not the twist top sort.

Not sure about the size difference though.

I thought beer bottle top initially, but the diameter is way too small. Maybe a tiny bottle of beer (or whatever) like they have in Motels. Who'd want such a small sip of beer though? Beats me!

It 100% PMD, no matter how it was done.

Nice crack rob. The 4 is really leaning. I'll have to have a look at mine for that one.

Thanks Matt. I went through my 54's yesterday and found that those with the leaning '4' also seemed to have die cracks as well.?

Bonny- the book I use for all die cracks, errors etc. is Rennicks- Australian Pre-Decimal Coin Errors by Ian McConnelly. Available from most coin dealers and if easier on ebay. With some early coins having any one of 60 or 70 errors (or none at all) this book certainly is helpful. If you can't get a copy just post a pic and I or many others will assist.!

Alao .... geez that's getting close to where Jeff is!
Fancy a whole village finding a Cud.
(Sorry Robster , thought it a small improvement on Enworb's "fart a gram" ).

PS: Love the tilted 4

Bonny
You can probably also pick up a copy at the local library.

It looks to me like possibly a hole saw was attempted, it probably shot out and the person gave up trying to cute a hole into the middle of it
