I dont mean to defend her at all(or give her ammo!), but truth be told, technically she doesn't actually say that the note for sale is an error note, just that it's got no head, and through research she found that a number of $5 errors do occur. She should have put in the listing that this particular note has probably just had the head removed manually.

But she has done it trying to fool people. It is dishonest and disgraceful. I will be winning this note and I will be leaving negative feedback!

Well done Pedro. I am amazed that after asking "advice" and receiving it, this note is then fraudulently offered for sale.
Shame on the seller.

Hi all. Further to my interaction with the Reserve Bank regarding this type of CRIMINAL fraud, they got back to me stating that the info provided by fellow forum members should be enough for them (and no doubt, the Federal Police) to investigate the ebay scum.

Thanks everyone and I'll keep you informed about any further updates.

Not only has the individual been notified of the facts on this site in response to their questions (which they acknowledged), but I understand they have also been given appropriate information via ebay.

As such, there is no excuse for their deception, and I hope that enworb's plan of action is successful...

"Bought as an error note so selling as an error note",tells me they now know that it's not an error note.

Yes appleangel, he bought it for $193.50 back in January 111000108082.

He bought it from the same seller as this item. 121077161279.

At least this time the seller has indicated fillers ....... should indicate fakes though.

You're a good spotter Pedro.

The second one looks like it might actually be legit.

Other opinions?

WOW look at this one

Aus$5-Note-Missing-The-Queens-Head.

I didn't even have to go out to the "Shed" to make this.
Simply some acetone and a tissue

I should get $8 for this now

Hmmm, I don't think the last one is genuine Unicorn, the word Australia & the serial number are the same colour as all the other ink thats missing, but am happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

Trout, stop that,or we'll have to send someone over to confiscate your acteone & your money, naughty boy

I will give you a heads up when I spend this.
I wonder when it will show up on ebay as a "Rare Error"

I see what you mean appleangel, I'm just wondering how they could remove the other black without removing the pink circular patterns too?

Trout, at least you have something to keep you busy now during the winter months when it's too cold to go to the shed! A lovely piece of work!
