I bought a roll of uncirculated 58-D Lincolns and all were brilliant red BU, except for one, which had purple and brownish toning on the front and none on the back. I tried to sell it on ebay but had no takers. When it didn't sell, I decided I would keep it after all. It's kind of grown on me.

I love toners too. Red coins are nice but look so bland sitting next to each other.

My love for toned coins continues to grow. I just love 'em. Toned copper has a beauty all its own. Thanks for sharing!

There must be something in the copper from that period. Or does it just happen that 50 to 60 years is the sweet age? Typed that out and didn't tell you that's a sweet looking Lincoln!
