With all the beating and banging on this coin it is amazing that it did not seem to effect any of the lettering or numbers. You would think they would be just as obliterated as the rest of the coin.

To me it looks like the date that should be raised over the doubling is actually under it and hard to tell if its the same with liberty but it looks like it.

007 a winner? That was my thought as well. Lower 1955 over higher instead of other way around.

The gigantic space between the bottom of Abe's bust and the rim bothers me. Also, the photo is pretty cut off on the left side, but it looks like there would be way too much space between liberty and the rim as well.

Devices are flatter and thicker
and the rim seems sharp and more rounded off.

That seems like a good observation to me as well. Also, the 1 does not appear (as) doubled on the fake.

That doesn't look real, and I also noticed the spread of the date seems off, especially on the two 9's.

TJB17 Came the closest.

On this forgery the face diameter of the die is shrunk a bit and the it results in a larger space between the lettering and the upset rim all around. It is most noticeable at the L in liberty which was conveniently truncated and under Lincoln's bust.

Other comments were also good - like the fact the coin survived with just the doubled parts left clear. Strange.

Anyway - good thoughts all around.

When I saw them together, the thing that sticks out the most to me is the wrong 1955 is on top of the other...
