Ooo! As of today (the 12th) I have a pending charge on my credit card from the Mint. Looks like it's about to ship.

Why would you ever show a picture of the $10 silver coins and then state in your listing that the composition is cupronickel? That is just asking for trouble.

WELL- I guess we all learned the answer to this one,,, I too have learned. I been going back at this series as I want it and dug up data on recent auctions,,,,, prices have dropped hard here, anywhere from 20%-almost 40% off on some. Its staggering... even more disturbing is you can get graded ones for less than the mints release... to which I say, wow! CA has a set of these on sale at roughly 54.50 USD which isn't too bad.. however you can get about 10% more in a price reduction by stalking on ebay .... and I say this, if CA is slashing the price on these, I say then for sure prices will tumble even more... heck I saw a PF69 mallard for 64 USD, shipping included! guess I am waiting on these as well... man today has been an eye opener. ... and not only is it RCM, but this same thing has and is happening with Perth Mint, Royal Mint, etc.. you can go down the list all modern coins from mints are getting,, smashed in price.

All they, and not only, just over-saturated the marked with coins. If couple of years ago I was excited: "wow, con with this...coin with that", now I just do not care. About the Mallards - somehow managed to sell mine (that bought on the hype) for $5 less than issue.

Your prices include the box and duck call?

Quote: Your prices include the box and duck call? No.....I bought 2 single coins, the silver and the CuNi. Immediately disliked the CuNi, but on the Silver one liked the colours. Unfortunately, the vibrant colorization wasn't enough for me to keep the coin, and I decided to sell them both.

Well, from the beginning the coins sold individually were not hot, just the subscription box.

I forget where I saw someone's comment but they said something like when the secondary market is weak, thats not good for the hobby and I have to agree. I mean I was looking at some other coins that I am NOT interested... and wow, same sort of price destruction, coins going for 40,50% from the mints list. As I said earlier, this isn't isolated to the RCM either.. I mean this is widespread... goes into other mints as well. I dont think the hobby dies but I think the core is going to get sick of this and walk away unless mints start pricing accordingly....

I think the majority of collectors are realistic about pricing when compared to silver spot pricing. It's the mints that have become greedy and have eaten up the added collector value on the coins, so there's no room for growth!! I wonder at production costs, they still pay artists for the lovely designs on bullion coins. So really how much more does it cost to make Nclt coins? I'm slowly switching to bullion. As the designs are still creative, and I can get 4 bullion coins for 1 Oz RCM Nclt coins. I just wonder how long before the mints see the light and change their pricing?

Ducks are always hot topic in North America.... Quote: I know the subscription would be and I grab some of those for myself... 2017: 2013 $10 Ducks of Canada - full set ebay ID = 132157072881BIN = CAD 204.99 + Shipping CAD 20 For this price we rushed to buy from the re-sellers the first coin and box only. It should multiply in price...what is wrong here?

Lol Silveroid. Slow day. Necro a 2 and half year old thread to ask a rhetorical question? Pretty sure we all know most coins have not held their value especially in the past 5 years. Nice try. Who's 'we'?

With a few exceptions, all NCLT coins don't hold their value. Not only last 5 years but 20 and 30 year old NCLT coins lose value. You can get 1990's coins for 25% of issue price in auctions.

There has been a downturn in NCLT market over the past 5 years or so that has affected almost every NCLT coin; then current issues as well as older issues. Prior to 2012, the market was much more robust. It was even better before the 2008 financial crisis.

Who's 'we'? You right, CC-Ottawa - slow day. I sat and refreshed the forum, but no new post. Suddenly saw on ebay "2013 GBP5 The George and the Dragon" still continue to rise (10.000 mintage coin) So I thought, what about our RCM coins, not just any coins, but the coins, that were hot at pre-issue / issue period. That's why checked specific coins. "We are" - innocent buyers, followed the hype on the secodary market, and purchased the coin(s) with premium, in hope that "these coins for sure will hold the value"
