In addition to the "Buy it Now" at $325.00, she also has one at auction, currently at $140.50. I noticed all of the bids on this say "private listing - bidders' identities protected". Can anyone explain this? Does it raise red flags for you?

No the private listing has doesn't raise a flag a lot of sellers do that, then when you look at completed listings there are no prices or item descriptions.

BTW I hope the mint has some when they announce them since I'm a MC member and wouldn't be happy if they are not for sale for me.

The tag says "the seller has relisted this item" however, when you click on it, you get "the listing has been removed" I wonder if somebody from the mint came down on them despite "Disclaimer: Copyright of all pictures belongs to Royal Canadian Mint"

I guess I'll put some up to, if people don't seem to care. I don't like the idea of people selling coins that aren't even announced, but I gotta do what I gotta do. 😈

You might as well get in there. There are a few other people selling this so I'm not sure why people are just picking on this one person. $250 is a nice price for the 3rd coin IMO.

I phoned the mint the other day to question why CP was taking orders in advance of its release and order taking by the RCM.You could tell that RCM was exasperated by the issue. I sustain my MC membership at what I consider considerable expense precisely to have access to newly released coins before they go to the public. If CP continues to take orders as in this case, they are undermining the major benefit of MC membership. I sense that they will close this loophole.

The 2013 $20 Fine Silver Canadian Maple Canopy is described by Karlyshannon as being hand-painted. If true, wouldn't that make each coin very unique? And how would that be possible for a mintage of 7500 coins?

If the RCM plastic bags are made in Canada (it says it), I highly doubt it's outsourced to China.

You're right, it was most likely outsourced to India. Also under Canadian product labeling guidelines a product only has to have at least 51% of the total direct costs of producing or manufacturing the good have been in Canada

Theoretically the painting could have been done in another country.

Wow, you are right. I never knew that we can get other countries to do things for us if we pay them! thanks for the info.
