That coin could raise the price of the mallard. I have to say I like the second coin much better than the first, and that seams to be the popular sentiment. People who skip the first coin may want to acquire it to complete their sets. I'm picking up some more mallards.

second looks better.

My local PO display the Robin and The Mallards next to each other (both are 25c coins.). Have a chance to look and compared.

The Finish of the Mallards looks better than Robin. The word "Canada" and "25 cents 2013" on the Mallards looks shinning.

Yeppers, if this is accurate--and I am sure it is--it's proof the 25 cent Mallard is not going to be an "only" coin. So is this likely to raise interest (and prices) of the Mallard once it is sold out at the Mint? Looking forward to the Northern Pintail. And, yeah, guess I will be buying all three!

Another case of an early previewed coin generating more interest and more sales $ for the mint.

It looks very nice and it persuaded me to buy the Mallard. I am also glad I got the silver duck subscription also as I can imagine the Wood Duck will look very nice in that series as well.

Looked more closely, the 2nd coin has a very similar style as the first one, where the bottom half of the coin is completely filled with coloured surface. I like this kind of uniformity in a series. The coins looks brighter and more colourful than the 1st coin too. With only 3 coins (assuming same number of coins as the silver series), it will be a very affordable and easy to complete set. I like!

^^^ The wood Duck and the pintail will both be awesome. The fine silver wood duck will be the best of the ducks for sure.

I still dont feel like buying the 25 cent mallard coin? Should I be buying it? It doesn't appeal to me,unlike the Fine silver mallard, which is being proudly displayed in my living room!

I guess these coins will be released more frequently vs the silver $10 coins.

Thanks for posting :) When you go to the site they show the second coin (I think by mistake) and when you click on it, it shows the first coin in the series..
