First off I would say that is a very cool low serial ladder, if you have it (and not just asking a hypothetical question about a note for sale).

The numbers being thrown out here are a bit high. One common mistake people make is to think that if a $1 note with a certain serial number will sell for 10 times face value that a hundred with the same serial will sell for the same 10 times face value. The more likely scenario is that the hundred will go for WAY less and be harder to sell. Most people don't want to shell out $100 (or more) for a fancy serial number and permanently tie that money up. There are some who do and will shell it out, the trick is to find them of course. I think if that note is in uncirculated it may fetch $135 and less if it is circulated. But of course all that depends on the series as well and if it has any other features like a star serial for example.

What Nickelman mentioned is correct about premiums on fancy $1 compared to fancy $100.
I think if you were to sell it, best bet might be ebay. Very important thing is to take nice high-res scans of the bill as that seems to make a substantial difference in the closing price.

Honestly, If it was in AU condition I would buy it for $250, Especially if it was in a TPG holder.

That's a great bill to have, and on top of everything it's also a star note.

What all do you have to do to get something graded like that, and about how much does it cost?

Bassmaster, If you were to get it graded by PCGS, you would need to pay $50 for basic membership into the collectors club and $24 fee for each note submitted.
Not worth it, if you just wanted to grade that $100 of course but invaluable if you have a large number of raw notes that were in nice condition that you wanted to sell.

I'm going to try to find the listing. I couldn't believe it sold that fast. When I find the listing I will post it on here. He also has a $20 that has a serial number with all zeros and 4 sixes. I don't know what it would be worth either.
