Can I be his friend too? Please? The "Indians" have always been my favorites. Don't have nearly enough of them.

I seriously hope that wasn't face value that he owed, that would be incredible. Still pretty amazing to be paid in gold like that. Common or not, that is really nice.

Epic payment! If I had the money, I'd buy one of those $2.5 golds out of that stack!

The value he had placed on the group was 3,433. He was figuring 10 percent over spot price on gold value. The amount owed to me was approximately 3,500. I checked the values on ebay and the low range (on a bad day) would bring approximately 3,600 up to 5,000 plus. The funny thing is, he has more money than he knows what to do with but wanted to unload some of his raw (what he calls junk) coins. How could I argue with this? I would have purchased more coins separate from the original deal but the remaining coins had severe damage not worth the investment unless I could have got them below melt.

All these little gems have been inventoried, placed in 2x2's and will be going to the bank for a safety deposit drop-off when they open at 9 AM.
