Every time I see a Morgan, I wonder when someone in the Treasury will have the foresight to restore modern American currency to it' s former grandeur.....?

Some of the tone has rubbed off on the high points. I can't quite make up my mind if that is slight wear or not. I don't think that is PMD at 3 o'clock, it looks like a minor flan split to me. Look closely in front of the 'M'. |

From the pics it looks like wear on the high points. But that could just be an effect of the pics. So I will not attempt a grade.
However, awesome coin!

Looks like it may just be an overdate as well, check the second 8 area up close for a horn of the 7 or filling in the lower loop.

Hey now, that is a gorgeous coin. In my opinion, I prefer coins like this one. No question, some original surfaces with luster coming through. Very hard to find these days, at least for Indian cents. |
