[QUOTE]It looks like #2 on Coppercoins to me.{/QUOTE]

Way too far south to be the #2 on CC. Jay look at the photo with the mint mark and date provided by the person that started this thread. Now look at the same photo on CC. Look how the D looks tucked up in between the 9 & 5 on the coin on CC. The posters photo shows the D further away from the date. In identifying RPMs, the mint mark location is a huge way of telling which one you have. It must match exactly. RPMs are just like retail..Location, Location, Location.

Ok all, Bob Piazza from Coppercoins emailed me the results:

1952D: This is a new listing for the files. I have assigned it number 1952D-1MM-031 and added it to the site.
Congratulations on the new addition to the coppercoins files. You can see your new addition at this link:

Thanks all, hey cladhunter13 your right on with that assessment - Bob Piazza coined the phrase "Flying D" years ago, when these were first noticed on some other D mint marks.

Wow. Thanks. It is one of my joys in life to help others answer their questions with the reason why I said my answer, than to just say no/yes.
