I'm on the fence to on this one and it has nothing to do with how much silver in it I like it just not sure if I like it more then what might be released next and then won't have enough for that one.

this coin would look much better if it were 1/2oz of 1oz

This is the size of $20/20 coin. Some $20/20 are nice, but they are pretty small to really appreciate imo.

I think the size of the coin is perfect for the series..... It's nice having variation. I ordered the coin and I think it was one of my favorites in this last release.

Let me clarify, I think the $20/20 is a great series. Size is fine for $20. For the price of the bee though I would want to see more coin.

Hobbes. I agree as usual the prices are high for NCLT at RCM..
But this one is not mass produced, it's painted, it's first in a series, it's proof finished, looks good.

Seems like most people won't buy this coin mostly because of it's size and silver content. I'm thinking the whole series may be a bust. I suppose time will tell...

I have to see the coin in person before I consider buying it. If such coins like the butterfly, dragonfly, moon mask, and maple canopy weren't so popular, I wouldn't order them so fast. I like to see first before I buy.

If this coin ends up being like the moon mask, who knows, $69.95 may seem like a bargain.

This is a really nice coin, low mintage, but I guess with that comes a higher price. Wish they woulda made it at least a half ounce though.

If the painted bee is the same size as the actual bee, then it kinda makes sense to go with the 1/4oz size.

no offense to the people who love the series, but I hope it does become a bust....simply so they re-think their pricing strategy.

if its a hit, I'm afraid we might see more coins with such a high premium on the metal content.

@cowboy905 - Well that was the concern of many people, that the mint was testing how high they can put prices on series. If it does sell out or does fairly well I would expect more series like this and at the price.

Two rules to remember to this topic.

Rule #1: Wife is always right.
Rule #2: Do whatever it takes to make wife happy. Even buying overprice coin.
