CC these are beautiful coins. I started selling some of mine and there is continuing demand for them.

@CC_Ottawa, what would be a reasonable offer if I would like to buy it from someone? I had a chance not long ago, but the seller asked for over $500 and I hesitated.

I'm referring to the glided flower series for all 6 coins.

@tocoins - I don't promote my sales on CCF, but I recently sold the Easter Lily for $40. $500 seems a bit high.

@canadian_coins, thanks for the info! I vaguely remember the mintage for these flowers are not that low and they're sterling silver. I was a bit shocked to hear the asking price at the time.

I haven't tracked selling prices for a couple of years on these but the last numbers I had were about $300 for the six pack. Aggregate issue price was $205.70 plus tax. Five hundred seems a bit steep to me too.

Mintages and issue price:

The Tulip (1st in the series) and the Forget-me-Not (last in the series and significantly lower mintage) go for a bit more. The rest you can easily pick up for under $50 per. I sold my spare Forget-Me-Nots for about $80-$90 per a couple of months back. The Tulip maybe $60-$70.

p.s. And how about them butterflies? :-)

What are the approx. current prices of each coin in the gilded flower series? I just picked up the 2002 Tulip for $41 (shipping included)... and I really like the look of it. So I was planning on searching for deals on the others.

I only have one, but found the series is not consistent, the flowers are prettier and cheaper

This should give you the high end pricing. Cdn coin¤cy are similar. Obviously, there is a tax advantage if you buy from a private seller.

No butterflies for me. Never liked them.

@silverbug Yes, it's an eclectic (did I use that word correctly? :-) ) mix of painted, gold plated and hologram coins. I kind of like it for that. Guess it's just a personal taste.

@aswitzer If you go to ebay.ca and then click the Advanced link next to the big search button at the top. Enter the keywords to search for (IE '2002 tulip'), select 'Coins & Paper Money' from the 'In this Category' drop down and then tick off 'Completed Listings' just below that before clicking the Search button. The results will show you all the sales (and non-sales) on ebay in the past few weeks. You'll see that out of the 22 listings that come back, $41 (including shipping) is the second best price with most paying significantly more. If that was you, well done! :-) Repeat for the other coins as desired.

Kuh_85, cool! I didn't know that option existed to see the completed auctions. Glad to see I got it for a good price! I will definitely use that feature for future coin purchases. And yea, the one I bought is the first in the list, $31 for the coin and $10 for shipping.

Thanks for the tip!
