Well, she got her First Strike all right, and it looks like it needs surgery. This is definitely a Guarantee claim.

yep it would definately be on their desk as fast as the post office could get it to them for their "Guarantee" so you can get a real MS-69 replacement

I've been told "no", but I'm going to keep the thing for a while for educational purposes. You know, "Buy the Coin, Not the Slab" stuff.

I guess you might call the grading on this coin a total bust...

Something doesn't seem quite right, I would use the guarantee for sure. However, I would be interested to see any more blatantly wrong coins from the big three. Does anybody have another glaring example?

This is what happens when money talks. The TV coin shows are selling these by the thousands, and I am sure they have some "relaxed" grading for them. Sad, but true.

After all, anybody that thinks "First Strike" means anything would not know what MS69 was anyway.....

It looks like a raised "bump" of some kind. Very small rise, very gentle slope.

Is that one of those "Shop At Home" coins? I often wondered if they are really what they say they are with the "First Strike" claim on them. But as others have said and what you have noticed...that coin is not a MS69. Well at least not in my vision of one! :)

I have no idea where it originated. I got it from a guy at the local coin club.

There also looks to be damage on the E and R in liberty. Are you sure that the holder is legitimate and not tampered with? Does the serial number check out?

Looks like PCGS gave you their "Opinion".
They've p.o'ed me so many times I wrote an editorial
in Coin World about it. Another fine "opinion" by PCGS.
