Was looking through some of the completed feedback. This sure doesn't look proof to me

Glad to see someone who likes to chew on coins goes the extra mile to spell things out for us.

Not surprised; any buyer could get the same thing he's offering, for free, just by walking their dog.

I must be missing it. He seems to be offering exactly what he claims, and his long description boilerplate give a lot of good advice including informing buyers of their rights under ebay rules. I see nothing wrong with this auction other than he could use some larger pictures and/or ones that can be enlarged.

That's an AWESOME idea! Next time I walk my dogs, I'm taking the metal detector along!

Could be my monitor but that quarter looks pretty rough to me through the toning. Thus my "chew on coins" comment.

The packaging on the mint and proof sets in the 50's was horrid. I have seen coins like this right out of the packaging. While the coin is utterly ruined, I see nothing wrong with the listing in and of itself. Not a coin to be proud of, but nothing to rag on.

I've seen a lot of coins right out of the mint sets that look like that as well. I don't care for the look but surprisingly they will often bring a premium for that "mint set toning"

Yes completely accurate especially the part where it could easily grade top of its class at TPG

Mystic, that means squat. The listing is just fine, even with a claim anyone can see is simply the seller trying to talk up an inferior coin. Again as I said, nothing there to call a seller out on in a public forum like this.

ok, I can admit when I'm mistaken. the toning spotting to me looked like massive pitting and corrosion and kind of scratched right in front of his face. I was wrong.
