I think I'll pass and just continue going to the bank and paying face value. If I really want a clear tube to put them in, I'm sure I can find one for a few cents. But darn, I guess I'll just miss the opportunity to own one of those mint bricks.

Good Heavens! I wonder how many people will "take advantage" of this tremendous offer?

Don't you love how large they are? What is the kid holding it about 6 months old? There was a 3 day promotion in the local paper here for the full set of dollars a total of 520 coins and after everything you only ended up paying $988 for them. Great deal!! YEA RIGHT

I saw that in the newspaper a few weeks ago. It sounds like a ripoff.

Look at this hype.

"And here's the best part. "We are releasing the entire hoard of these sealed Ballistic Rolls from the vault in the Vault Bricks for just the $88 fee for each. They are so heavy they feel like solid bars of .999 pure gold. So be careful, you may need both hands to pick them up," he said.

"Remember, these coins have never been in the hands of the public. Never-circulated coins are among those most likely to increase in value." said Milton.

You would expect that these Vault Bricks of never-circulated Ballistic Rolls would never leave the vault. But now, you can show them off like a diamond ring or a brand new car. You just won't believe the expression on people's faces when you hand them one of these. It's like you just gave them a Million Dollars"

The expression is best described as...YOU PAID $88 DOLLARS FOR THAT! (Shock, fool, unbelievable)

But the plastic case must be worth the $38 above face value. NOT.

Ballistic roll, now there's a concept. Would you, could you shoot it from a gun? An astronaut would be proud to display one.

Yeah....this same ad came out in our local paper. A coworker asked if it was a good deal.....when I quit laughing I told him No. Then I explained why you don't buy stuff like that from TV shows and big newspaper ads. The bad thing is, a lot of less knowledgeable people will jump and buy this stuff thinking it's a great deal.

The full page ad showed up in the New York Times the other day. If it wasn't so crass it would be pathetic. And with full page ads in papers all over the country, I'll bet there are a lot of uninformed people that have, or are going to fall for this. Alas. As Hamlet said: What a piece of work is man.

And we must keep in mind they are MINI-ROLLS of coins. Bluntly put, anything advertised in our newspapers MUST be a huge rip-off in order to pay for the advertising! Never lose track of that fact and the same goes for television! Huge markups must be tacked on for the costs involved! Steer clear of these cash cows!
