Thanks, John1 - Do you mean posting on their forum? Or is there another way for them to see it?

I just looked at the forum on CC and they say that they are merging with LCR and not accepting any new posts after April 2012. I have already posted on LCR...do I post again on the forum with "New RPM" in the subject or is there some other part of the site I should be contacting?

Go to LCR and click on Contact us and ask if they want you to send it to them.It used to cost something like $3 for an attribution.

Looks like an RPM to me... Sometimes lighting can play tricks but I think you have a nice one!

I believe it is WRPM-002 D/D West. Cross References: CONECA: RPM #1, Coppercoins: 1987D-1MM-001, Crawford: CRPM-003 With some help I received on the LCR Forum, I used my newly discovered transparency feature to construct an overlay and it matches perfectly in terms of the shape of the D and it's relative position to the 9 and the 8! I would post the overlay, but I am not sure what the issues are on using someone else's photo without permission. (I would think I could send it in a private mail, however. Let me know if interested) Thanks for all the help!

It has to be an exact match, and I don't think it matches with 1MM-001. See my above comment.

Well I tried the overlay and it was very close. So I tried the second choice. Tiles. It's not a match. The CC image need rotated .5 degrees and that threw it off a little. But here is the tiles:

It may be a new die. But it is not the 001. One to mark as a very possible it the lighting is not from two sources.

As best as I can tell, 1MM-001 does not match exactly with WRPM-002. Isn't that interesting? The upright on D is more vertical on the following 2
WRPM-002:

This one identifies as WRPM-002

The Wexler site gives the Cross References I quoted. Maybe you can help me understand this?

Wexler's listing don't match the CONECA listings. But in this case the coppercoins listing doesn't match the CONECA one. It maybe damage to the RPM on the CC's one?

How do you find CONECA's images?

The RPM book that is out of print. But most of them are the same listing on coppercoins until the older book ran out of numbers. Your coin does appear to match the one in the RPM book, but that publication doesn't show the whole date to do an overlay with. 8( They are working on a disk reference for the CONECA images. So far they have the wheat RPMs and DD's on them. The later listings are completed yet.)

I did the overlay with one of the images I mentioned and the position of the D with reference to the 8 and 9 matches exactly. Thanks for all your help. I would be interested in seeing more discussion on this!
