A quick thirty second acetone soak, a little Verdigris, and man, that would still look like crap... :) Great first find!

How do you like the 350? Is it pretty easy to pick up? My 350 is on the way and I've never been detecting before. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas.

I like it okay.. I have only had one other detector when I was a kid and if I had to guess, i'd say it was from the early 1600s. It took 14 AA batteries in 2 seperate blocks and weighed like 30 pounds. This is WORLDS better. I havent had much time to take it out and really search though.

Yeah, it was pretty spectacular. I was all of 12 at the time.
I wish I still had that thing. I'm not sure what happened to it. Maybe I will find it in the weeds some day with my new detector. lol

I think my first find was a 1995 penny last year.... >.<

But I haven't detected this year though, waiting on my Garrett Ace 250 to come!
