I started out doing a set up like yours ... with State Quarters. And yes when that box gets full it too heavy for that type of box. I don't have pictures on this computer, but now I use coin storage boxes from Wizard coin supply http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro...orage-boxes/They hold 50 rolls and are designed to hold the weight. I use one box of 50 for "P" mint and one for "D" mint Also I have blue boxes for State Quarters and orange for ATB's. I also have a third box for "S" mint ATB business strike quarter. A friend gave me some labels from office depot that can be printed on your computer/printer. Round labels that fit right on top of tubes ... use alcohol to clean the top of tubes so labels will stick better. With this set up there will be the 2009 quarters, 12 rolls, and 12 rolls of ATB Quarters, that will need storage. For these I use 10 roll quarter boxes. There will also be room for at least 10 rolls in the "S" mint ATB box.

Well whatever works for you but find yourself some wooden boxes if you can....Have you ever seen the wooden boxes those small oranges come in believe it or not they do work. Also cigar boxes work and you would be surprised the sizes they come in. But you really need to use boxes if you can find em and have a cupboard with strong shelves in which to place em along with a P-Touch labeler and for any moisture or humidity check out Pringi.com I use them and reccommend them as well.

GR58, Are those 50 roll quarter storage boxes good and sturdy? I was looking to build a nice box but your link shows those boxes and I would just get 2 of those if you'd recommend them. They'd certainly be cheaper. Thanks.

mindsets, those boxes are designed to hold up to the weight of 50 rolls. If you do not mind having a lid, I would buy one box and use the bottom part as you are supposed to. Then take the lid and put inside of it a section of the dividers from the box you got the tubes in a 5x10 slot section, and place it inside the lid. Now you have two topless boxes for the price of one.

My BU rolls from 2009-up are in metal cash boxes (with the cash drawers removed), one for each year.

I can put all coins from one year in the same row. Of course 2009 and 2021 have six coin per year ... but that is just something to be worked out with other boxes. A local coin shop liked my set up so well they did the same thing for their State Quarters. Maybe this afternoon I can find a picture .. or take one to show you how it looks

Here are some pictures of the boxes I use Orange boxes are ATB Quarters, Blue boxes are State QuartersI forgot to take pictures of the grey 10 roll boxes, that I use for 2009 quarters and over flow. EDIT- for now I label the tubes as I get the rolls from the mint. I want to check back with office depot, to see what different colors they have. office depot labels I recently started this IKE box, when done it will have 500 coins This picture is of some of my U.S. Cent. All the boxed coins, are in boxes from Wizard coin supply

And why I read so many posts ... I get a lot of my ideas seeing how other CCF members do things ... of course you can always put your own spin in it. I think part of the enjoyment of collecting coins is .. how you house your coins .. albums .. boxes .. binders .. capital coin holders .. etc. For me, the more I get my coins organized the better I like my collection. My collection was pretty much a mess ..before I joined CCF.
