After blowing my mobile cap to try and get through to RAM, I finally received a call back today.
As I don't expect to see any "circulate" in the far north, this was my only option...

Mentioning that opens up some interesting possibilities, particularly as these are mass produced and not subject to the same level of scrutiny as NCLT. The potential for misprints, offsets or alignment varieties...

The bag takes the form of a sealed security type bag with Royal Australian Mint and the logo on it. Whats everyones take on either leaving the coins in the bag to rub on each other, or to take them out of the bag and put them into holders?

I was lucky enough to get plenty from the bank so will be leaving my bags from the mint intact. If those are the only ones you have then open them up and put them into holders.

I received a very handsome gift in the mail today - image attached. Actually, I am not a Royalist at heart, but I think this coin / stamp issue just oozes "class" It shall have a proud place in my "stamp and coin cover" collection. Squire

Hi "The Unicorn" The coins are Australian, of one dollar denomination. The one on the left commemorates the 175th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Victoria. The one on the right commemorates the 60th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. I have attached enlarged images of the coins. They both have a small "P" mintmark below the crowns. Squire

Thanks so much for the info on here. I've ordered my 5 coin bag from the mint thanks to your info and one of the coins on a card. My mum, bless her, got one in normal change and held on to it for me, barely circulated and straight into a 2x2. They seem to have done a strange release for these as I have a security bag coming with some of the coronation coins and the rest are this year's standard aborigine.
