It was meant in jest, sorry if it sounded serious...I thought this was going to be a humorous thread, I guess I should have thrown in a few s

and some

or maybe an orange twister...

P.S. I thought about quitting MY job after I found a battery acid-corroded no date zinc Lincoln Penny in the parking lot by the kids' school

Humor is always welcome on CCF! If I had gotten to this topic earlier, I would have posted a smilie I have frequently found useful. Since I didn't get to this thread earlier, I won't post the below smilie:

The edge lettering is randomly oriented- about 50/50 up or down. When first released, people were selling upside down edge letters as errors when they obviously were not

The new dollar coins have edge lettering on them (see bobby131313's link above) and sometimes the lettering can be read with the face (obverse) side up or with the tails (reverse)side up (upside down). It's by random chance which way the lettering faces. Oddly enough, PSEG (a major third party grader) has officially recognized this as a grading feature:

Reminds me of a "blonde" joke where she wonders why all the M&M's say "W" on them!

I thought it was because we were in the northern hemisphere. If we were in the southern it would be the other way. Kinda like the toilet water.

I heard the Mint put some of them on upside down so our Aussie friends could read them from down under?

Ahhh that's so sweet of them to do that for the Aussies. I suppose they flipped those dollars edges too for them.
