The first two sites are active, just not being used. Right now I can't imagine he has the need of them, or the time for them, but he's paying for them anyway, so I'd guess they're backups in case his ebay biz ever goes FUBAR.

when something seems shady, it most likely is! Lets do some more investigating shall we? I'm pretty good at that!

I have received mail before in a similar situation (no stamps) though a different company. Most likely the automated sorting machines failed to filter out the mail, and also a very kind mailman!

The problem with asyn is that more than one of the members here have received packages without stamp from this seller.
Welcome, CretS. Thanks for your first post.

Well, if Asyn is using discounted stamps with little or no gum, then he would have to glue them onto the envelope. So, my guess is he needs to get a new bottle of glue, because the stamps are simply falling off the envelope(s) in transit.

But not ALL of the stamps surely? I could see one or two maybe not sticking, but not all of them. I guess the mailer just misses the odd envelope. Must be an interesting job, sitting there at a desk all day, figuring out what combinations of old stamps add up to the necessary postage.

Last month I bought a one dollar coin for $1.80 including tax and it was mailed with a new $1.34 stamp. How do they make money doing this? They would have done better taking the coin to the bank or the corner store. I guess they have run out of old mint stamps and now have to pay Canada Post regular postage.

Yeah, I have gotten many things before from them with new stamps.

I assume that they just group the amount they get from their sales, both + and -, and usually come out on top.

Interesting post about Robert Cheung, He does to york...I just graduated from there recently...wish I had sloothed about this earlier lol. To think, I was so close to someone who knows this famous ASYN seller.

Okay, so I've been sending postcards with old postage stamps, and the lucky recipient has sent me pictures. Any card with more than one stamp hasn't even been postmarked. Even a 2008 (the RCM one) 52-cent stamp! That's big money! It's like they don't even care!! And one of the P-stamps has been canceled by someone drawing one or two lines through it with pen.

In my experience, the pen marks usually happen when the mail is processed in a smaller town, but maybe it is something else?

So with no postmarks how do you even know that the stamp has been cancelled and can't be used again?
