Quote: Congratulations! Tough coin. How bad are the scratches? The scratches are very small and hard to see, they are right near the stem of the right wheat. it is only about the length of the stem.

Quote: I'm not sure when NGC started to slab problem coins At least a year or two. PCGS does it as well now if you select that option

So this coin is a "problem coin" and should have been put in a body bag?

Little no it shouldnt have been put in a body bag. They used to do that but now slab those coins as with what was done to them on the label like how it says it has scratches. Coins like that are a great way for people to get examples of coins that would have otherwise been out of their price range or cost more than they would want to pay

I know PCGS still gives you the option for body bags if you select that option on the submission forum but it certainly doesn't seem common anymore
