1973 25 Cents from Barbados in Copper Nickel (cupro-nickel)

That is what I said. Copper nickel was the only composition for 1973 25 cents. They changed to nickel plated steel in 2007.

Sorry, jay.
But I did not cheat. This was the logic that I used.

Explanation of my answer:

"Dorough was approached in the early 1970s by advertiser David McCall and asked to put multiplication tables to music. The result was "Three Is a Magic Number", the first song for what would become Schoolhouse Rock!. Dorough remained with the show from 1973 to 1985."

This and the fact that the mintage was 6,000,000 makes the coin most likely to have been found.

Barbados Bearded Fig Tree

Bearded Fig Tree, BarbadosThe name "Barbados" is believed to have its origins with the Bearded Fig Tree.

The Portuguese sighted Barbados in 1536 en route to Brazil and referred to the island as Los Barbados or the Bearded Ones presumably after the fig trees found on the island which, as you can see in the photo, have a beard like appearance.

These trees can become incredibly large and are a natural habitat for birds, bats and monkeys.

"The Bearded Fig Tree can be found across Barbados especially in the natural gullies that run across the island, however they are nowhere near as plentiful as when the Portuguese visited our shores centuries ago.

The specimen captured in this photo can be seen at the Andromeda Botanical Gardens."

I didn't say you cheated. I just stated that the answer had already been given. Just because you said copper nickel doesn't make you right and me wrong. That was the only composition for the1973 Barbados 25 cent coin.

Hints: One for Date, Country, and one of the following: Design/Composition/Denomination.

1.Bob Dorough- Creator of Schoolhouse Rock! which was first aired in 1973.
2.Bearded Fig Tree- These trees are thought to have given Barbados its name. The Portugese name for these trees is "Os Barbados".
