live a few minutes from coin and currency, great place to go for bullion.
I always like to watch the Coin Show on the shopping channel as Steve gives a detailed description about each coin. Much easier than reading it myself lol

Doesn't it give you the wiggins watching him actually handling some of those coins with his bare hands?

@lyaranoj: Could you say please, if your avatar real $20, or it edited 50 cent piece? As $20 coin it extremely attractive

It's the real deal, the $20 gold piece from the 1967 Centennial set.

Thanks a lot for clarifying and posting.
Beautiful coin! Already did a couple of searches - too bad, not my prices range. I'll wait for a silver one...may be on 150-yrs anniversary.

I think for 2017 RCM ought to put out the very same set, just with the 2017 date. And if we all start saving now, in 4 years we might be able to afford it.

That '67 gold coin is one of my fav's ... Earlier this year I almost bought a whole estate with one of those in the collection... kicking myself that it didn't pan out it's the one coin from the '67 set I don't have..... yet

I wonder why the seller has the gold $20 flipped to show the obverse? If I was selling this I'd want to present the set in the best way possible.

Its from colonial acres website, the volume of stuff they sell...im sure they dont care since they have savy collectors buying from them all the time, especially sets like these.
Must have been sold a WHILE ago...im only assuming based on the current gold prices.

Quote: ... too bad, not my prices range... Silveroid You can get one of these... the obverse is much the same as the real $20 CDN gold VVV Don't be fooled and pay over $20 for one. They are gold plated and larger than the real $20 CDN gold. I will find relevant link momentarily... >>> edit >>> CCF link VVV https://goccf.com/t/62057&SearchTerms=sudbury

@lyradnoj: Canadian coins are graded primarily by their obverse sides if I'm not mistaken. It's easier to display a coin with no scratches on it if the field is larger as is the case with Lizzy's portrait. The reverse, with the coat of arms, is harder to catch those scratches and wear.

I think it's just sloppy work on CAC's part. Face it, anybody buying that set now only wants it because of that $20 gold coin, so that's what they should be showing. The ad copy has a couple of blatant typos even now. And the price has gone up over $40.
On a side note, I have both sets sitting on a shelf side-by-side. The set with the gold coin looks absolutely mint. The set with the medallion is so tarnished that you can't tell what's on the reverse of any of the coins but the penny and nickel.

FYI - the Coin Show on the shopping channel again this weekend. Now in fact, and later today/tomorrow.
