Yes, it is a lot...but let's say we sometimes pay more for single coin
and the box is the "base" of this collection.

$700 for first 4 coins - not over- expensive, taking in account that there are rare Rabbit and Tiger

I really like the regular issue white presentation box that this set comes in. I mean its a lot nicer then the standard maroon clamsell that you usually get. Having the case would be nice but not having it wouldn't be end of the world for this set.

I managed to contact the seller and negotiate the price down for the box and the first 4 coins. Now I need to sell a 2011 Canada rabbit coin. I wonder what I could get for it to help pay towards this purchase. The good news is, any future coins I can get most likely below issue price after they sell out. Only the tiger and rabbit coins have done well resell value that is.

via ebay? I have yet to master a way for them to contact me via email.

They over do it with the dragon with the high mintage... same with the snake.

Buy the case with the coins, and do not worry about Rabbit resell.
The lowest BIN on ebay - $180 + shipping $15 (Canada)
(to buy it,may be?)

There is another,cheaper,from China.
Actually,I bit surprised.When I got mine(for good price),the average was $200+

Hi BiBo,

Send me a private message. It's the lotus coin with the scalloped edges.

As for messaging the seller from ebay, it was very easy. The seller from ebay crossed the border into Canada and shipped my product via Canada Post Xpresspost. What a nice person. No problems with customs or delays now. I can't wait.

@jsinger

You'll not be dissapointed, IMO.
This is not short-term series, like "collect'n'forget"
Just think, 7 more years (or 8?) you will put a new gem into the slot and will enjoy the general look of them.

There is many fancy and nice Zodiac coins from different countries, but IMO - this is currently the best.

Pictures of the case:
Had access to 10-15 of them once upon a time, too bad only kept enough of them for myself to house my sets of lunar coins.

The red one's the lotus subscription. The round full 1oz lunar coins come with a brown lacquered case instead.

This is one of the best crafted cases the Mint has ever come out with.

100% agree. Best display case from Mint ever.
Used to have 5 of them. Now I only have 2 of them for myself.

Was anyone going to part with one? Oh well... I'll have mine this week. I can't wait to finish off the remaining 8 coins. Not an expensive subscription and its only once a year.
