Not the biggest in other measures, but I have an oval Tempo 100 cash (Japan) which is certainly outsize in the length dimension.

I admit, I keep thiking about going up to Sudbury (I've been in Ontario twice in the past year!) to see the Big Nickel, but haven't made it yet.

Great Britain km618 1 Penny (1797) at 36mm and popularly known as the 'cartwheel penny'.
The same company issued a 'cartwheel twopenny' at 41mm! But I don't have one of those.

I think it's a US silver dollar, which thankfully fits in a 2x2 saflip.

A general rule for my colelction is, "if it doesn;t fit in a 2x2, I don't really want it". It helps give me a reason to filter out Katanga crosses, manilla rings, tiger-tongues, Chinese spade-coins, Thai bullet money and other "primitive" proto-coins. However, I have picked up a few NCLT maxsi-crowns here and there. I believe my largest is the 2 pa'anga coin from Tonga, 44.5mm. My maxi-crowns either go into 2.5x2.5s if they fit, or into a coin album page designed for medals.

Only just slightly smaller at average 42mm is my largest circulating coin, a multiple-dirham from the Samanid dynasty of Afghanistan, circa AD 980; you can see pics of it in a thread on this same topic in the Ancients section. Being thinner than a modern coin, it just fits into a 2x2-sized flip.

My largest coin is probably... the humble Eisenhower dollar. :I

But, I would like to get one of those multiple thalers (double, triple, etc.) one day.

I have few old German/Austrian thalers about 41-43mm. I am using saflips just for them. I havent tried 2.5x2.5 because my album pockets are just 2x2. but Saflips fits well.

My largest coin is the Papua New Guinea Papua 10 Kina: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces42217.html

At 45mm it won't fit in a 2.5x2.5 so I got a package of 2.5x2.5 mylar flips and put it in there. Works pretty good. I usually write the information on the 2x2 but I just printed out some papers with Microsoft Publisher that fit in the flip.

It IS possible to get cardboard - mylar 2 1/2 x 2 1/2s flips, AND 12 pocket 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 album pages.
Very convenient for the few large coins and medals that I have. The 12 pocket album pages fit quite conveniently in a standard 3 or 4 ring binder.

I ONLY use 4 ring binders. 20 crown size coins can weigh quite a bit, around half a kiogramme, in fact.
There is little less stress at the page holes, and therefore less of a problem with tearing at the holes.

Although I don't collect NCLT coins - I have picked up a few along the way.

This £25 from the Falkland islands is a hefty 150g (0.9250)and and 65mm across.

As I recall I picked bought it because I got it for face value

My largest coin is a 20 Balboa 1974 from Panama, one of these:

At 61 mms it is too big for 2,5 x 2,5s (which I otherwise use for large coins) so I have it in a little plastic bag, PVC free.

My largest coin is a CAD 10 Montreal Olympiad '76 issued in 1973. http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces10982.html
It has a 45 mm diameter and weighs 48.6 g. I keep this type of coin in its original sealed plastic cover.
