Quote: so I saw Stirling Currency today, Andrew was very helpful and we almost made a deal but couldn't quite find a common ground on price which was a real shame because he had a piece of 8 I really really wanted. so coin is real but needs some work. I am very happy and kudos to Stirling for how they dealt with me. I will be seeing them again Andrew is a great guy but a VERRY good business man as well. great news mate, It looked kosher to me anyway. Bloody good on ya and stand your ground, IF you want to trade that you will do far better than a piece of 8 for it Mate

For $30-$40 and a six months wait you could get this graded AND authenticated by PCGS/NGC If your aim is to sell this Personally if I found one of these the only way I would part with it would be from my dead or dying fingers

Getting it graded would be a waste of time IMO as it will not grade. With that sort of corrosion and gunk it would get a details grade.
