There will just be things that are different about it. It might not be silver, it might not be the proper weight, the obverse or reverse might not have the right pattern, the lettering could be wrong, etc. There's tons of things

Not the best photographer. This one has a yellow tint to it.

These are all highly sought after key coins. These are also highly counterfitted coins. Not saying that these ones are, but I would strongly advise to have them certified. Un-certified key date coins of this nature scare collectors. I'm not skilled enough to judge them by the pictures, others may be. But my advise....Get them certified!

I'm pretty sure they are not counterfitted. Thanks for the tip though, I was leaning that way. I was thinking of gathering the top value coins and taking them into ICCS to be graded. I spoke with them already. It's $50 per coin if you go in and get them graded on the spot. If you send in 100 coins it becomes $6.50 per coin.

As for selling them... I was leaning towards ebay, but now I'm thinking of going to an auction house. Is there one you would recommend? Where do you buy coins?

The 1921 5 cent coin is a $5,000-$7,000 coin. Spend the $50 and bring them in.

Would love to see the obverse on these. 1948 could be $3-5000 or more and looks like a rotated die. Would counterfeiter bother with rotating the die?

I would guess that all of these keys are real and certainly worth a lot. Make the trip and get them properly graded.

A really small expense for some really rare pieces here..

So if you take your collection to a dealer 55% is a fair offer from them... understand they have to make money on the transaction at some point.

You can sell on ebay for around 13-15% fees.. but you will have to worry about shipping and such.. with your higher priced coins it's not bad if you have signed tracking ...

You could sell through an auction house... probably 20-30% of final hammer price will be the fee.

All I have to say is that from the pictures you have a very nice looking collection with some decent dates! That alone is something to be treasured..... good luck with the coins and thank you so much for sharing and putting up pictures.
