Oih82w8, knowing the same definition, amazing coin.
Is this considered a complete rotated reverse?

to keep the album consistent with the other specimens which typically do not have 'medal' alignment

My 1861 3CS has the Medallic Alignment, so it would not be out of place.

Pretty gosh-darn close to completly rotated, maybe a degree or two off from 180 degrees.

Old lady putting pressure on you to limit your collection? What's next, getting rid of that incomplete Buffalo nickel, you know, the one with three legs!!!!

KK, no, it's my own rule that I have (tried) to live with that in order to get something, a similar item must be surrendered in one form or another; sell it, trash it, give it away, etc...

The incomplete Buffalo would be a welcomed addition to my collection in which I would gladly move my 1938 D/S MS65 out!

Both beautiful, but 2 is more typical and the color is great.

Keep the rotated coin. Better eye appeal also.

Looks like the PCGS 1865 Fancy 5 is off to the market (CCF Buy It Now, sorry I can't seem to capture/paste the hyperlink to the BIN), in an 2/3 preference of keeping the variety piece, Medallic Alignment/Rotated Reverse, which I can certainly agree with.

Thanks for your assistance!

When's the next time you're going to see a 2C in medallic alignment?

Actually not uncommon in the Two Cent series.

Personally, I prefer the 1865 myself in the looks department. As I recall this is the one with the cool Cud and die break on the reverse in America, the sister of my coin!

Double check the 1864 date real close for signs of a RPD they are probably 33% chance it has a slight RPD as so many 1864LM's do exhibit that as well as rotation. The full 180 or medallic is not too uncommon, the more or less than 180 degree rotations seem a lot tougher to find. IMO from years of looking and searching these out.

I would have to take the second based on the wood grain look. Both awesome coins.

Shoot I'd be all over that if my car transmission hadn't just taken a dump on me last week! Oh well I already have one exactly like it just not quite as nice.
