It's lucky the kids didn't run away with that big guy standing there.

The view from the hotel room. The convention hall is in the Des Plaines River Valley and the forest preserve to the east makes it look like downtown Chicago is sitting on the trees. It was great to meet so many of you. I wish I could have been there every day! My husband enjoyed it a lot. He bought some engineering themed coins from the Austrian mint, showed them to one of his clients. He liked them too, so he brought the client to the show so he could get a set of them.

I know it's to late this time but I had an idea for next time. How about handing out comment cards to the YN's so they can comment on their experiences at the show and the hobby it-self? Ways to improve the show/hobby in general. And make sure to include CCF's web address on the card Just a thought. John1

Buddy, great picture! Again, thanks for the heads ups! The Blue line was a jolt when we got on with two bags each. We paid double on the return trip $10.00 for two, out to the airport was $5.00. Cook County or Crook County? LOL

bpoc1, glad I could help. I think they had to double the price because the Metra CEO got a bribe retirement package of $700,000 to keep him from 'suing' over something or other.
I just figure going into the city is going to use up all my small bills.
It was great to meet you and the Mrs.

WoW I'm drooling, from all the nice pics, I've never been to a coin show. The big ones seem so impressive, and a bit overwhelming. Looks like a grand time was had by all. Nice to see photos of all the interested kids! Coins have tough competition from video games!
