I am glad to hear that my fellow 'addicts' have applauded my relapse
into the depths of the Netherworld !
I am a devout cheapskate but when I happened to check my watch list this morning
(which I often neglect to do)
There it was ....... Marked down . "Limited Time Offer !" "Act Now !" Supplies Are Limited !
Two hours of agony followed
Sweaty Palms
Stomach Cramps
Breathless
Racing Mind

How to make it work ?

Full blown withdrawal .......
(Having been a licensed Hack for 15 years I have seen too many worse off than this)
Finally I just couldn't take it anymore and I lunged for the laptop
And now the anxious wait for the Postman

Oh the humanity !

BTW TIF ...... I messaged you last week hoping you would make it go away ! It even suddenly had the 33% off 'sale'.
Then suddenly the listing was removed. "Item no longer available". I felt a bit better after a day.
Tuesday I get the email ...... Item you were watching has been 'relisted'
By Wednesday again with the 33% off sale ......
No one to save me from myself .....
Alone with my 'daemons'

Sounds like fate to me. To deny yourself the purchase would have angered the gods

When Fortune shines on you, it is wrong to turn your back, for someday you may incur her wrath, and find her foot about your back.

By the way 'Noob' the deals last night were fast and FVRIVS.
I 'sniped' a Vitellius Victory As for $79.

Time to do some calculations !

I am a little unclear about what is going on around the 'proboscis'. I am hoping the seller dabbed a little 'spit' to try and get some detail (didn't work I am hoping). Either way the portrait seems to have some nice things going for it.

Aw man. I saw that Vitellius and was going to bid but I had never bought from that seller before and didn't want to invest the money in someone I had no idea if they were legit or not. As we all know there will always be another coin. Plus I couldn't remember if it was him or Otho who didn't have any bronze coins minted in their name

While I have never bought from this fellow either I did like the look of everything he had to offer. I low balled 2 pieces and was somewhat shocked to get them both. I landed the Claudius Sesterius (which looks like a Spanish mintage) and the 'Vito' As for a terrific price. Now the only problem is I have 2 ...... but at 79 clams ...... I'll take all you got !

BTW Whiz ..... you know where to find me and I do freely give my opinions. If you had asked me about it I would probably have stepped back. But .... Now you will need to peel it from my cold dead hands ! Or at least wait for me to stare bankruptcy in the face ..... again.

I may take you up on this one day but right now it is much better that my brain beat my bidding finger this time around. All too often it is the other way around. It would be very hard to justify over $45 for a coin right now and once I start bidding I tunnel vision a little bit.'One more bid wouldn't hurt' echoes throughout my head. Technically tougher budgeting is what I get for taking a step down in a position after my previous term ended but hey a job is a job especially for a recent Classical History grad.

Besides if I ever want to actually go to Italy one day(hopefully next year if I get a full time position and am no longer on a stupid term and actually get vacation days) I need to start penny (or nickel since we no longer have a penny) pinching a little bit!

There are always more coins other days!
